This week’s farmer’s market haul

  1.  Ozark Gold Gala apples
  2. Green leaf lettuce
  3. Pickling cucumbers
  4. Pink Girls tomatoes
  5. Freestone Elberta peaches
  6. Yellow tomatoes
  7. Tennessee Mountain tomatoes
  8. Mint
  9. Yardlong beans
  10. Eggplant

The tomatoes and lettuce we’ll use in BLTs for dinner one night this week.  I’ll steam and puree one of the apples for AB to munch on.  Caleb is planning on adding the mint to his water and possibly some mint juleps.  I’ll probably steam the yardlong beans for a side veggie for dinner one night.  You could also saute them with some soy sauce.  The peaches and cucumbers will be snacks for me this week.  The eggplant is TBD.  Bon appetit!
